Czech CRRC Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as " Czech CRRC ") was registered for establishment in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague in February 2013. The company's current main businesses include Technology development services, Supply chain streamlining and direct sourcing, Consulting services, etc.

CRRC- Czech Technical University Joint R&D Center managed by Czech CRRC was formally established on June 15, 2013 under the support and cooperation of China and Czech and became the first joint R&D center established by CRRC in Central and Eastern Europe. Positioning of the Joint R&D Center is the key stationing for CRRC to use global technical resources to conduct innovative layout, to bring the scientific research strength of Czech Technical University into the technology innovation system of CRRC, to make it becoming the effective support for core technology progress of CRRC railway transportation equipment traction and control and to absorb high-end talents and cultivate own international technology cooperation talents in such area at the same time. At present, the scientific research task cooperated by Joint R&D Center goes well, global technology innovations are obvious, asynchronous motor parameter identification technology, new stick-slip control technology, high-performance traction control unit TCU and other cooperation achievements have been used in batch in exported diesel locomotives, EMUs and urban rail vehicles independently developed by the company and the application effect is good.

Czech CRRC always keeps the good relationship with Chinese Embassy in Czech, actively participated in various activities of China-invested enterprises in Czech organized by the embassy, successively received the inspections and instructions from leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, China Railway Corporation and CRRC and has become one of the typical example of China-invested enterprises in Czech. The scientific research cooperation between CRRC and Czech Technical University won the high praise from the government of Czech. In 2015, the government of Czech awarded the laurel of the third prize for excellent foreign-funded company of the type of science and technology to Czech CRRC.
